It's a playlist for Meyer's book from Edward's perspective, I guess, Midnight Sun. Now, look. Here are a few songs she says go along with this book: Monsters — Matchbook Romance, Animal I Have Become — Three Days Grace, Hit the Floor — Linkin Park, Glycerine — Bush, Map of the Problematique — Muse, Paper Thin Hymn — Anberlin, Pts.OF.Athrty — Linkin Park, and Hemorrhage — Fuel, among others.

This upsets me. Doesn't this upset you? That such awesome songs are being used in such foul ways and getting a reputation as having aatually inspired the low-level self-insert stereotypical poorly-written fanfic that's getting published thanks to one editor's insight into the minds of deluded imaginative teenage girls? We all know that the Twilight series is only good if you pretend you're Bella and get with Edward, and fine. I cna deal with that. But wtf does that have to do with the songs Meyer's saying are her inspiration? I mean, hello? Monsters doesn't work for anybody, nor does Animal I Have Become, nor does Hit the Floor. Glycerine doesn't even remotely work for any romantic pairing in that series... I have to stop. I'm getting a headache. DX

Wtf! I love almost all of those songs! What a cuntbag! I seriously hate how everyone is going Twilight crazy. Guess I should sell out and write a Sue-fic. Maybe I'll sell millions of books, too. Lmao...

Don't sell out!! It's up to people like us to write awesome stuff and then get the rest of the world to realize just how crappy her stuff actually is!

How is your stuff going, btw? Anything you're willing to let me look at? *nudge*

Lol, I won't. And you're right. We have to fix it! I'm writing a YA novel at the moment, with a girl as the lead. I don't know if it'd get published, or take off once it did, but the girl is more realistic. A normal girl, flawed but not "omgsoflawedyouloveher!!!1111" and certainly not the center of every male's mind. But she also has no love interest, since I don't believe in putting romance in books like that. So, that could be a downside.

I've actually been writing a lot lately! Sweet of you to ask. ^^; I think I'm going to post a short piece I'm writing, when I'm finished, to see if it runs as smoothly as I'm hoping, before trying to get it published. It's called Who We Become, but that's a tentative title. It'll be on my writing journal [livejournal.com profile] elysiadawnielle. I can't recall if I have you added there or not.

How about your stuff? Is your original going well?

Hmmm... I don't see the name on my flist, so I'll add it! ^_^* Now I'm excited to read it. :D

LOL, my original. Well, yes. I guess. It's very... fangirl? I've got a few original series at the same time (because I am too disorganized and all over the place), but the current one I'm working on is my planned thesis for grad school. And, uh, hey if you wanted to take a look at it, send me your e-mail address and I'll send it over to you. Because I need opinions from people who are cool, not just the people in my class who are like "what's anime? what's yaoi? is that a guy or a girl?" and so on. *headdesk*
