I'm going to make na attempt to copy all my fic to alternate files to try and work on them at some later point. IDEK tho. It might not work. It might also screw up the format, but I can fix that with time and patience. Hmm.

WATCH HOMICIDE!!

So now that my paid account has renewed, I can have an extra five userpics!! YAY!! This is AWESOME news since I desperately need to have more icons for newer (and older) fandoms.

I just finished season 1 of Homicide: Life on the Streets, and HOMG it is AMAZING!!!!! Like, I-need-to-inject-the-rest-of-the-show-into-my-viens good. I am really feeling it. I'd like to see Tim Bayliss and Frank Pembleton get together, and I got a semi-spoiler that Tim's bi so it's POSSIBLE, but we shall see. But there's like... NO FIC. Or vids. Or icons. OR ANYTHING. And THAT would be why I HATE being so late to the party.

I'm three episodes from the end of Xena (O.M.G.) and half a season away from the end of X-Men: Evolution. So, really, the fact that I haven't posted any fic is all a matter of PERSPECTIVE, since I've been watching all this other fandom stuff.

I will NEVER get tired of the expression "I swing both Rays." EVER. I don't care that I don't ACTUALLY like both (I'm a Fraser/Kowalski whore), but come on. THE EXPRESSION. \o/

Um, that's it. No fic today either. Please don't send assassins after me at my place of residence? Work would be better. :D

Well, it does though! And it keeps me away from the internet for long periods of time. I do not appreciate that. AT ALL. I will eventually write a post about RL drama, but in the meantime, know that I am very angry at reality and have decided to smite it down with wrathful anger. And also slash.

RE: APOGEE. Okay, look. I've got a lot more written, but I've made an executive decision. I'm going to wait until I finish (or am very nearly finished with) the first part before I put it up. Then I can update frequently and there'll be less stress for everyone involved. So if you've got any good reasons why this is a bad idea, say them now. :P

I'm working on my original novel, too. I've decided a few things about it that will probably mean it's impossible to get published, but FUCK IT. It's my novel and I'll do what I please with it.

Also, I really think it stinks that we don't have more good subtexty gay couples. I mean really now. I think Due South spoiled me rotten. D:

LULZ I JUST REALIZED IT'S JANUARY. Apogee was supposed to be finished by the end of December. LOLOLOL!! Oh, self. You are so naive. *headdesk* I made an f-locked post about this, but for those of you not on my flist and curious about Apogee, here's what's up: RL drama is too epic for me to write much at the present time. Deal with it.

So I've been writing some but not a lot, and some of it's Apogee but not all of it. Deal, people. Morgan/Reid fic galore is coming, even though I've only seen up to 5x01. And BTW, HOMG Reid and JJ sit in exactly the same way at around 8:15 in 3x01--I'm just saying this b/c Reid is so gay and I love him so. I'm also doing McShep fic, but that's not coming out until I've finished the show, so you've got two seasons left on that one. Ho hum.

I need good Morgan/Reid fic recs. I've got everything I could find by carolinecrane, lagolindari, and severity_softly -- along with one or two fics by ansera, catherinewinner, innerslytherin, and ubervirgin, but there's seriously not much that I've been able to find. I mean, is that it? Seven authors? What's up with that?! That is seriously ALL I could find. I even went on FFN in my fervent search, and you all KNOW how I feel about FFN. *headdesk*

Speaking of craziness, what's up with all the creepy pairings in Criminal Minds fandom, anyway? Why is Hotch/Reid so popular? And, um, sorry people, but Garcia and Morgan flirt because they're friends, not because they're having a secret romance on the side. Man, I wish I could just upload the entire series to my brain so I could have it all done with and write fic with the knowledge of everything that's available. Oh well. *shrugs*

Also, I am highly amused at the sheer number of fandom guest stars we've seen. We've got (in no particular order) Bobby from SPN, Gabrielle from Xena, the creepy sister/nun from Carnivale, Xander from Buffy, the older detetcive from Dexter, Michael from SGA, and one of the leads from a gay movie called "Shelter" (it's a good movie).

OMG DEREK MORGAN, DEXTER MORGAN, AND DRACO MALFOY SHARE THE SAME INITIALS!! Coincidence, or carefully planned strategy to lure fangirls in? YOU DECIDE!

ALSO: I'm kind of ticked that CM 5x01 didn't show Reid in the hospital. I mean, hello? His foot got shot for God's sake! I know everything with Hotch was more dramatic, but I was really hoping to see Reid too. DX

ALSO: I've watched True Blood season 2, and I've got to say--TOTALLY SHIPPING ERIC/GODRIC!! And this quote had me LULZing: Sookie: "He's your maker, isn't he?" Eric: "Don't use words you don't understand." Sookie: "You have a lot of love for him." Eric: "Don't use words I don't understand." \o/ There must be fic out there, right? RIGHT?!?! *panics*

ALSO: I'm compiling a mental list of the best kisses, mostly same-sex, in shows. But great het ones I'll take too. So far, the only kisses that really stood out to me as being HOMG were the one between Jack and Ianto in 2x03 (around the 34 minute mark) and the one between Alice and Tasha at the end of The L Word 5x08. Any others? Ideas?

ALSO x4: I can't believe Caprica's starting and I'm not done with BSG yet!! EPIC FAIL, SELF. EPIC FAIL. Watching all of this stuff is really putting a dent in my free time, I'm telling you. *epic sigh*

So I've been MIA for the past near a month, which happens occasionally when I can't get computer access or when RL is disastrous. Sorry people. Life sucks. D:

What have I been doing since August 1st, you ask? Not writing, that's for sure. In the past three weeks, here's what I've done:

Week 1: Got hideous sunburn that forced me to do nothing but stay perfectly still for the whole week. Watched Six Feet Under seasons 1 and 2. Missed the internet.

Week 2: Got two toothaches, one on either side of my mouth. Watched Oz seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4. Watched the first episode of Animorphs and the first four episodes of Xena. Missed the internet.

Week 3: Watched a variety of really random shit. Missed the internet.

I've also been re-playing the first Layton game in preparation for the second. And I've got my pre-order for Arkham Asylum, the PS3 version. Oh, I also read a bunch of comics. Hmm... and watched some Star Trek.

So, overall, while I was in pain and sweating profusely (I'm not kidding--I've got no air conditioning so the average temperature in my house is 95 degrees F), I just did some catching up in various fandoms. What I really wanted to do was write and watch SGA, but I don't have SGA and it was too hot to write, so sadness consumed me.

Re: APOGEE!! I'm not posting today. As the above complaints and whining indicated I haven't written for the past three weeks. I just started 10 two days ago, and I'll post it ASAP. Once I do 10 and Othersides 2, I'm taking another break to work on the prequel for startrekbigbang. Life is pain.
