The beginning of the end

I'm Kai, and you've either been directed here by me in a subversive attempt by myself to get people to visit this journal, or you've stumbled across here unknowingly. If it's the first, welcome! If it's the second, welcome and please don't be alarmed! I am rather harmless, especially through this electronic device we all so lovingly cling to, also known as the computer.
I decided to get a live journal for a lot of reasons. Basically, I wanted someplace to be able to just say whatever I thought on, and screw political correct-ness all to hell. This is where I'll let everyone know how progress on my fanfiction is coming along, in case some of you are those poor people who have been waiting two and more years for updates on some of my WIPs. You guys are great, really. I'm still alive, so your death threats were in vain, but fun nonetheless. ^_^*
Also, I'm writing my own personal stuff, and I've got nowhere to vent about that. Here's where I'll do it. I'm a ranter. I rant about a lot of things, but mainly slash couples that I support (like Harry/Draco- YEAH GUNS'N'HANDCUFFS!!), the evils of politics (especially the Bush administration *snort*), and whatever else I happen to come across during my day that annoys me.
I guess that's a good enough introduction. I have no idea how long or short these things are supposed to be. I guess however long or short I want them to be, huh? I feel all-powerful. *evil laughter ensues*
Oh, I'm feeling sleepy because my roommate was up half the night crying about something, but pretending she wasn't crying. So there I was, in my bed, trying to figure out the nicest way to say "Would you please shut up so I can get some sleep?" Didn't work out for me, though. *sigh*
I'm off to class. Book and Magazine Editing, to be precise. Did you all know that the word data is plural, and the singular form is datum? Therefore, the sentence "The data were incorrect" is actually grammatically sound. Huh. *shrugs* Will wonders never cease.
