The Long List of Fandoms and Recommendations

This list was made from sheer boredom and also curiosity about just how much I’ve seen/played/etc. These are only the series that I remember/liked well enough to have included—I didn’t include series I either didn’t like or didn’t care about, such as Excel Saga, Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Nadia. I put the pairings I like next to the series name, and you should know those are only the pairings that really stood out to me. I probably shipped everybody with other people in each series, but what I’ve got written down are the ones I care about the most. So, what I’ve got written here aren’t the only pairings I ship in each series. I also basically ignored putting down the main couple if it’s obvious that I would agree with it, i.e. Kaori Yuki’s Boys Next Door. Then there’s my own rating of the show. It’s a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest. And my favorite character is thrown in there at the end, just for kicks. But if I don’t have one particular favorite, I left it off. You’ll also notice I’ve got a thing for yaoi and hot angsty guys. ^_^*

Note: Not all of these are actually fandoms that I’m in. In fact, I’ve never been in the fandom for, with a few exceptions, basically this entire list. However, these are series I’ve seen around LJ and various other fandoms, and so I figured I should put down my opinion on them while I was composing this, anyway.

Ratings:
10 – A MUST SEE!! One of the few series I love unconditionally. Ctrl+F 10 if you’re in a hurry to find these. :P
9 – Incredibly good. Highly recommended. Only one or two things stop this from being a 10.
8 – Very good. Also recommended, although it didn’t appeal to me as much as the 9’s or 10’s.
7 – Good. Recommended, but some parts were hard for me to get through.
6 – Above average. At least half of this series appealed to me in some way.
5 – Average. I liked it, but it didn’t stand out.
4 – Below average. I probably watched this because it was a classic or it had a ship I thought I’d like, but it seriously underwhelmed me.
3 – Bad. It was difficult for me to sit through this.
2 – Very bad. I probably turned this off, unless I had to get through it to finish the story.
1 – Awful. I look down on you if you like this series because it had no redeeming qualities at all.

I have recently fallen very hard for the Star Trek fandom and read your Apogee fic (which, btw is omg srsly hell yeah /yay/, you are an awesome writer and I can't wait for the next update!), and just wanted to say...aww Animorphs! Tobias was always my favorite! Not gonna lie, I'm 22 and I still have like 20 of those books. And in further proof my emotional maturity is not where it should be, I whole-heartedly approve of your inclusion of Disney films on this list. Also your ratings of the Twilight series. TOBIAS IS LOVE. <3 He was my first fandom crush before I knew what fandom crushes were. I'm 24 and I own ALL of Animorphs. In fact, believe it or not, I ordered the books (at ridiculous prices) from eBay and Amazon when I lost a few and realized I didn't have the ending. *headdesk*

Disney films rock. Twilight sucks. That is the way of the world. If Jasper wasn't in Twilight, it'd have no good points at all. As it is, there are only two characters in Twilight: Jasper and Not Jasper. For instance, when someone is talking, I either say, "Look, it is Jasper" or "Look, it is Not Jasper." So you see, two characters.
