Fun Sexy Birthday Post! \o/
Sep. 10th, 2009 01:46 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
So, here's a post filled with fun sexy guys and random kinky discussion--perfect for a birthday post, right? RIGHT! XD \o/
KINKY DISCUSSION, and I mean that quite literally: What are everybody's kinks? I'm just curious. I recently discovered two kinks I never knew I had before! I'm a wordslut and I love it when one guy straddles another in a chair, but it HAS to be done right--like Kirk straddling Spock in the Captain's chair, for instance. MMM YES MOAR NAO PLZ!! Oh, and Kirk whispering filthy things to Spock while rutting against him--HOTHOTHOT!! Older kinks that are still fun are scars, bandages, chains, handcuffs, basically anything related to bondage or BDSM, power plays, anything dealing with psychology, um um umm... religious and mythological metaphors, glasses, whips duh, also anything angsty--like two guys being separated for years before they're reunited, and if it's epic and dramatic and desperate and passionate and flail-worthy all the better really. The wordslut thing I mentioned at the beginning is new to me, but I realized it when reading a Pinto fic. Then I was like "OH DUH THIS IS WHY THIS IS SO FUCKING HAZZAT" and so it all became quite apparent to me. XD
IN other news: AfterElton's Hot 100 for 2008! Here are some highlights (for me, at least), although it's worth a look-through if you're bored and want some smoking hot man-meat, especially since the majority of the guys listed are in fandom shows:
2. John Barrowman
11. Gareth David-Lloyd
13. Jensen Ackles
26. Christian Bale
33. David Tennant
34. Heath Ledger
43. Jared Padalecki
48. Chris Meloni
LOL, that reminded me--I'm compiling a list of the top 10 hottest characters in every genre, both female and male. This is far more difficult than it sounds, although a few were obvious choices. For instance, Poison Ivy got the number 1 hottest comic book female spot. No comic book chick is hotter than Ivy, that's for damn sure. XD
A random meme I stole from somewhere: List your top ten OTPs (in any order) and then ask your flist what similarities they see between them. Also, see what your flist can tell about you from the list!
So, here's my list of top ten OTPs, in no particular order. And by top ten, I mean the top ten right now, and not necessarily of all time, but probably most of these will end up on my all-time list, if you get what I'm awkwardly trying to say here. *headdesk*
1. Dean/Sam - Supernatural
2. Sasuke/Naruto - Naruto
3. Kirk/Spock - Star Trek
4. Roy/Ed - Fullmetal Alchemist
5. Arthur/Merlin - Merlin
6. Batman/Joker - Batman
7. Riku/Sora - Kingdom Hearts
8. Harry/Draco - Harry Potter
9. Taichi/Yamato - Digimon
10. Beecher/Keller - Oz
So get to it, flist! I'm curious to see what you responses are. XP
Also found this! From here: http://www.afterelton.com/people/2008/2/garethdavidlloyd?page=0%2C2 - an interview with Gareth David-Lloyd about Ianto, pre-season 2 so it's old, but this quote rocks!
"AE: So you weren’t in a place where you needed to be educated about it. One thing we found really interesting is that there are a lot of female fans who are really into the idea of two men being together romantically. Do you have a lot of female fans that are pushing for a relationship between Jack and Ianto?
GDL: Oh, definitely. I try to stay clear away from the Internet, but you find yourself reading fan fiction and it takes up a lot of time. Yeah, absolutely. That’s definitely one of the biggest questions for fans as far as Janto. Everyone’s for Jack and Ianto to get together."
I need some new good gay shows! I've finished Oz and am looking for more canon gay. AND GOOD CANON GAY, not crap canon gay like the kind Six Feet Under had (I only saw the first two seasons but BLARGH). I'll write more on this later, but my fav TV shows are SPN and BSG (still haven't finished it--SPOIL ME AND I EAT YOUR FACE), with Oz and Carnivale (also not done yet) coming in close seconds. I like epic shows with a solid gay OTP, subtextual is fine (I'm loving TOS and I'm sure SGA will be great too), but I'd rather canon. I can't take too much happiness or humor or else I'll die and never finish the show. I need angst, drama, tragedy. PAIN AND ANGUISH AND DESPAIR, otherwise I'll never be happy. XP So, any recs, flist? ♥
So I am now 25 years old, which means almost nothing to me except that I'm getting old enough that I really need to get published soon. By the time I'm 27 I will be published, I MEAN IT!! *stamps foot* If only fandom and fanfic weren't so appealing... *pets them lovingly*

Date: 2009-09-10 01:01 pm (UTC)Hurm. Kinks? Priests. Number one kink, and I cannot get it filled anywhere. If someone ever wrote an AU where Spock was a priest and Kirk was a juvenile delinquent who was forced to go to church, and they get it on (with plenty of OH GODness from angsty Spock), I would be indebted to them forever. (I know, I know, I'm going to hell.)
Hmm... well, some of them have that whole hatelove aspect about them. And most are, like, around the same age as the other. You're not into pedo-ish shit, is what I mean. And by that I mean no things like Harry/Snape and such.
And and and STRANGERS WITH CANDYYYYYY.
Funniest show ever created, and a good, CANON, almost angsty gay pairing. (as in, one is married and homophobic, all the while getting it on with the stereotypical gay art teacher. And the art teacher wants to tell everybody about them. And the first guy is Not Having It. And did I mention the show is like the funniest shit evar?)
Featuring.... Stephen Colbert! And Amy Sedaris! And Paul Dinello! And a bunch of cameos by really famous people, including Spock's mommy!

LOL, the only remotely pedo I have is Roy/Ed, but that's only like 12 years difference. I do indeed love the love/hate rivalry thing. \o/
Oh, I'll have to get it then! I've never heard of it, but now I'm intrigued. I'll see if I can dl it before I leave the internetz again. Thanks for the rec! <3

Date: 2009-09-11 12:52 pm (UTC):'D Oh Jesus. You are the best.
xD I do too, but mostly because it is a great source for angst. c:
It's amazing. You can find some clips at comedycentral.com, to see if you like it. I have no idea where you can download it, though. I am no good with that sort of thing. xD

I'm currently dl-ing the first season, so hopefully I'll enjoy it. I'll have to wait and see. *crosses fingers*

Happy birthday! =D

Date: 2009-09-11 03:32 am (UTC)LOL, when I said good canon gay, I meant fangirl-able canon gay. I can get realistic gay from RL. I rely on fandom for my fantasy-fulfillment. \o/
Thanks! ♥

Date: 2009-09-10 04:46 pm (UTC)Oh, some of the physical things--
In fic: Breathplay, bondage, spanking, beating, noncon, dubcon, forced submission, bloodplay... need I go on? ;D
Personally: All of the above except for noncon and dubcon. I'm a masochist, so yeah. I'm not sure I could ever do any of that with a man, though. Or at least not a regular man... so far I prefer the idea of doing this with a woman, haha.

no subject
Date: 2009-09-11 03:50 am (UTC)LOL, OMG INORITE?!?! Telepathy is awesome, and breathplay is wicked fun. I'm actually excited to get farther into Apogee
when I'll be able to use mind melds, telepathy, and all sorts of kinks to their advantage. XD <3no subject
Date: 2009-09-10 08:55 pm (UTC)haha this post was a fun read. sadly, I don't know many tv shows with canon-gay but I have recently been watching a whole lot of Criminal Minds which is RIFE with subtext (and I don't know...I'm kind of a bigger sucker for subtext than actual on-screen relationships) but yeah, that's just my opinion and a show I've kind of been fangirling & pimping a lot lately. It's certainly full of angst, drama, tragedy, PAIN AND ANGUISH AND DESPAIR! ....given that it's all about serial killers and stuff :P
no subject
Date: 2009-09-11 03:58 am (UTC)LOL, good b/c it was fun to write, too. I actually like subtext more than canon gay USUALLY, but recently I've been wanting to see more canon gay. I think Torchwood and Oz are getting to me, LOL. Well, thanks for the rec and I'll definitely check it out. Serial killers with subtextual gay sounds like a good time to me. \o/

Happy birthday dear Kowaiyoukai
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday.
ball gags, restraints, one or both acting dominate, fighting over dominance, briefs/boxer briefs, and a few other things but those are the main ones.
no subject
Date: 2009-09-11 04:00 am (UTC)Oh, yes, definitely restraints of all kinds and dominance battles are just plain fun. But I've got no particular interest in underwear, sadly. I hear I'm missing out. At least ST is rife with the sadomasochistic shit due to Kirk and Spock's ridiculousness. WIN FOR US ALL. \o/
BTW, I noticed you friended me so I added you back. If you would've told me I'd've added you sooner! XP

Date: 2009-09-11 04:33 am (UTC)One of my favorites, dominance wise, is http://garret.slashcity.net/decarnin-intreatme1.html
It's TOS and very, very amazing. Absolutely fantastic. Than again, it could be because it hit one of my major kinks that I didn't even know I had before this fic.

Date: 2009-09-11 04:06 am (UTC)Also, I'm a total emotional trauma whore. Isn't that awful? I'm pretty sure there's a special place in hell just for me. XD
Ooh, I like some of that imagery you're mentioning there. Makes me want to work on some of my writing, or read something good.
I tend to be less into BDSM, because I like pain and what not to be nonconsensual. I have a big thing with that. >.> I'm also way into angst, so I feel you there. You're making me miss my main RP partner pretty bad right now since you have me thinking about all these things. XD
Everyone seems really into Kirk/Spock stuff lately. I'm neutral, but I found this cute webcomic with that pairing, so I've been reading that and enjoying it at least. Lol.
As for the other stuff... Once again I'm kind of out of the loop since I don't tend to fall into popular fandoms for whatever reason. XD But I try my best to keep up!
I like your idea, though, for compiling people from each genre, even though that's totally relative and can be tricky to pin down the genre exactly. XD
I need some new good gay shows!
If you find any, let me know, man! I need some, too!
Hahaha, I love your response to being 25. You're actually making me want to freak out now, since I'm 23 and have the same goals. More or less. I figure if I'm not published and doing pretty well by 28.... then it's mass murder suicide for the lot of you!
Ha, no. I gave that up. Too time consuming, murder. No time for writing!!!
But as far as publishing-- YOU AND ME BOTH. Let's do it! We'd better! Here's to focusing on projects that are actually publishable (as it seems we're both struggling to do lately XD) and to reaching our goals in the next few years!!!!
And then? Omg!Famous. Always. No matter what you start with. Just you remember that.

LMAO, yeah, just writing down the image had me wanting to go into it more and fic it. *pines for*
Well, hopefully your RP partner will be back and playing with you again soon--pun intended. XP I see the appeal of noncon pain, but I think it's equally fun to roleplay noncon too. *shrugs*
Yeah, I'm into Kirk/Spock, too, as my epic fic will attest to. It's great b/c it's so epic. <3
No worries, I too don't keep up with fandoms. I'm always so behind it fails. :P
By genres, I meant like comics, books, movies, TV shows, etc. So hopefully it won't be too hard. *crosses fingers*
I just finished Oz and it rocked! I'll post about any new ones I find, though.
Oh, 23, pshaw. You've got two more years before you're allowed to freak out. And I would've pegged you as older, for some reason. *shrugs* You give off a very mature vibe, I guess.
Well, actually, I find I'm able to juggle mass murder and writing quite well.
WE CAN DO IT! REALLY WE CAN! I need to finish my original ASAP. *headdesk* My plan is to be just famous enough to go to cons and have a fandom but not so famous that I get recognized in the street. Savvy? XD
no subject
Date: 2009-09-11 04:39 am (UTC)But I get ya. I'm not a big kid person myself, but adding a pregnancy or young children seems to add vulnerability to the game and I like it.
My kinks are all the most horrible things ever. Rape, death, betrayal, torment... To adults, to children, to whomever. Fictional only, obviously. But I do LOVE hurt/comfort. That's one of my faves. XD
Thank you for the wish! I miss her dearly! And I just mean that I like pain and violence, but I prefer it to be nonconsensual, rather than consensual. Not that it bugs me if it is, just doesn't give me much of a thrill because I'm sick and twisted like that.
Are you going to post your list when you're done? Cause I'm really curious to see who you pic! I want to do something kind of like that, now, only way, way less ambitious. XD
Oz was one I was looking at, and I didn't know much about Carnivale, so I'll check that out, too.
Lol, we're both still young, so there's no need to freak out, but it's easy to start thinking about all the things you still haven't done yet once you're no longer a teenager, you know? XD
As for my age... thank you? XD I hope it's that I just come across as mature and not that you've figured out that I'm really a fat, perverted, 56-year-old man who's been virtually stalking you for the last year.
Hahaha, good answer to that last bit, btw. See, I hope able to multi-task like that one day. XD
We should talk writing more! You were one of my added writing friends. We all need to go about encouraging one another and such. I'm thinking of posting pieces of this original fic I'm working on, to keep me motivated. But it isn't something I could publish, considering the content.
But talk to me about your original! We should chat about writing, seriously! I need to get onto
Lolz. But here's wishing we both end up somewhere someday. It isn't the riches or the fame, it's just knowing there's a circle of people out there who love the worlds you create.
no subject
Date: 2009-09-11 05:22 am (UTC)LOL, those are everybody's kinks. It's no big deal. That's why people get into fandom, right? To live out their fantasies through fictional characters. <3
No, I get it, really I do. I think there's fun to be had both ways, personally, but I get that everyone has their preferences. :D
Yes! The list will get posted eventually when it is finished. It should be fun! :P
DEFINITELY WATCH OZ AND CARNIVALE. You'll probably like them.
Oh, I'm just concerned that I'm not writing fast enough. I'm putting too much pressure on myself, really.
Wait. You mean you're NOT a fat, perverted, 56-year-old man who's been virtually stalking me for the last year? Wow. That's disappointing. XP
Multi-tasking starts when you're young, you know. You can do it too, if you try.
Why couldn't you publish your original? If you'd like, we could just swap stories over e-mail. I'm only online once in a while, but I could give you biting critique which may or may not help you, and I'd like the same. WHAT SAY YOU?!
My main goal is actually to get non-heterosexual characters into mainstream roles and consciousness. And I think I've got a good chance of doing it, too. \o/
INDEED YES. <3

Date: 2009-09-11 05:51 am (UTC)Children really are evil, though. During my long stint working in retail, I'm pretty sure my tubes tied themselves.
Hahaha, I'm finding more and more that those really ARE everyone's kinks, but then I meet someone who thinks I'm horrible and what not, so I never like to assume. XD
Aw, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Nuuuu! I get ya, though. It's easy to do. I hope you're able to relax and go at your own pace, though.
And um... yep. Totally not.. that. *cough*
Lolz, I'm not sure if your multi-tasking comment was a joke or if you didn't get what I meant there, but either way. XD
Oh no, no, don't get me wrong. It's the content, not the quality. I've been writing forever, and thinking about publishing forever, too. I'm actually really fond of the story, though I'm only four chapters into it. But it involves homosexuality to a heavy degree, drug usage, underage prostitutes, rape, murder, and lots of other unsavory things that, right now, don't stand a lot of chance getting published. I know Poppy Z. Brite could get away with some of that, but I just figure... if I'm not posting it online, no one will ever read it.
But who knows. Maybe I'll change my mind before I've posted too much, lol. I definitely don't need any biting critique on this one, though. Thanks. XD
However, I'd be happy to exchange pieces for mutual constructive criticism. I want honesty, but only if it's tactful and concise. If you know WHY it doesn't work, or can give a suggestion, that's much better. A general expression of something not being good is just discouraging. You know what I mean?
Not that I'm not trying to prepare myself to the harsh world of publishing where I will likely have my insides removed with a spork by some jerk critic. Metaphorically speaking. Or literally if he hates my writing enough.
My main projects that I think CAN be published (when finished and polished) often have gay characters, so that's certainly not the problem. It's just the kind of gay. XD Plus, honestly, the piece I was just talking about is kind of written for that online sort of niche. I dunno. You'll see it when I post it, if you're so inclined, lol.
Anyway, I agree with your goal! And I think with our powers combined (our being the many others like us) we will make this a common thing! Gay needs to be a normal situation. I don't want the gay to BE the book. I want it to be a book about something and just happen to have gay, lol.
(getting groggy as I'm writing this, so sorry if it's starting to make less sense XD)

Date: 2009-09-11 10:05 pm (UTC)Re: multi-tasking thing--it was a joke. XP
Also, good luck on your writing! I can see that you're still working on it from your comments so I won't ask to look at it now. I know I don't always want people to look at my half-finished stuff.
Getting published will rock once we do it! *high fives*

Date: 2009-09-12 02:02 am (UTC)I'm about to post chapter one of the online story I'm doing right now. I think this book, even if it never finds a home outside of free websites, is really teaching my something about my writing and my style. I enjoy it a lot, so maybe I can draw inspiration from the things I enjoy to write something a little more marketable. XD
Thank you for the luck, and same to you! Yeah, I don't have any complete projects, actually. Novels, at least. I have lots of short pieces that need editing. And I DO have the first novel of a trilogy finished, but it sucks A LOT. Like seriously. I started writing it when I was like 17, and even though it was pretty good for my age, I have (fortunately) grown a lot as a writer since then. So yeah, no full novels yet. Boo. Need to change that. I fail as an aspiring writer. XD
How close are you? Or are you done? Any finished novels under your belt?
Haha, and yes it will!
no subject
Date: 2009-09-12 05:01 pm (UTC)Any work you get done is good work in my opinion! It's better than people who never get any writing done, right? And hopefully you'll get a lot out of it. :D
LOL, you're still writing. That's what's most important. Demon Hunters will be a five book series, but I've got a few other projects that range from short stories to novel series. *shrugs*
I've never finished anything b/c I always lose interest. I need to be surprised at plot points and character shit to remain interested. So DH is working for me b/c I really don't know where certain plots are going, and it's exciting to see. \o/
no subject
Date: 2009-09-12 06:37 pm (UTC)That's why I like the online fic I'm posting, mostly because it has a lot of aspects that make me want to keep writing it. I really need to learn how to transfer some of this into something that I could use to start a career, though.
Anyway, good luck with your project! I've never written anything character driven, so this new thing I'm working on is pushing me a little closer to that. Most writers make characters first, I've found. I'm like the only person in the world who makes plots first, lol.
I love urban fantasy, and I'm big on biblical undertones and religious symbolism, so if you ever finish it and get it published (when! when, not if!) I'll definitely read it. ^^
