So I want to watch SGA. BAD. I really want to get into this show and fandom, but I can't dl it and I won't be able to get it from jelost for another two or three weeks. DRAT IT ALL. But I'm really curious about McShep and the few random, out-of-order episodes I've seen I've loved.

In the meantime, I'll be finishing Star Trek: TOS, Band of Brothers, Oz, QAF, The L Word, Being Human, Psych, and Animorphs. Um, I think that's all on my list right now. *headdesk*

I haven't been able to get Arkham Asylum yet. I'll be getting it this Thursday or Friday. *WANTS NAO*

Also, I'm slowly catching up on replying to comments. I'll probably be finished the next time I get online, which will hopefully be with the next part of Apogee. *crosses fingers*

Ah, SGA. I'm STILL incredibly upset that they cancelled it in favour of SG:Universe, which doesn't sound as good, and that they did it in a way that made us fans feel totally dismissed ::glares::. I don't usually jump on the campaign bus when things get cancelled, but this one had me signing petitions and writing letters all over the place!

But I digress... McShep is great. People either love or hate Rodney- he has an acerbic personality, to say the least. But M/S is the biggest ship in the fandom, or at least in the slash section of the fandom- Sheppard/Weir may be on a par or with it, bit I don't know because I run screaming from het fics *g*.

But the best thing about SGA is that it's so very slashable. In most fandoms, I have the classic OTP and no one else may be paired with either of my guys (unless they're having a threesome) :D. But SGA? I have my favourite character- John Sheppard- and I can happily read him with Rodney, Ronon, Lorne, Carson, Zelenka, Mitchell from SG-1.... And people write all manner of three and foursomes, too, which I have to admit are a large small kink of mine *vbg*.

I know you watch Supernatural; do you read Dean/Cas? If so, you really need to read savingfaith333's crossover with SGA. It's 10 parts, with the last one due out today and a sequel to follow. The characterisation for both sets of characters is spot on and there's lots of lovely angst and banter. It's called . I think you could probably read it without being up to date on SGA, it doesn't really reference any eps in more than a passing sentence that you might even miss. It depends how spoiler-phobic you are and what you consider to be spoilers. If you don't want to chance it yet, you should definitely file it away to read ASAP.

Well, as you should be! I'm hoping that I won't feel totally upset when I get to the end and see what happened--I've avoided spoilers so far, so I know nothing about how SGA ends. Still, I'm slightly apprehensive. -_-;; As for SGU, I really don't know how I feel about another new SG series when I'm only just starting to get into SGA now! I've got too many fandoms to keep track of everything, srsly. *headdesk*

The first few eps I saw of SGA (when it first aired I watched maybe the first 4 or 5 eps of season 1), I didn't like Rodney. But I think my opinion's changed over time, and I'm looking forward to going back and re-assessing my original opinions. Plus, I have very high hopes for McShep. \o/

I'm actually a monogamous shipper. I ship one person with one other person and that's it in every fandom I'm in. I'll have to check out the series and get back to you on this, but my assumption from the get-go is I'll only have the one OTP. :P

I <3 SPN, but I'm a wincest girl now and forever. Sam and Dean have this amazing epic love story that is only equalled in three other pairings: Sasuke and Naruto, Kirk and Spock (maybe), and potentially Beecher and Keller, though I'm not sold on them as being epic yet, although I've finished Oz. I need to figure out how epic their story was. XP But I can't ship Dean/Cas at all. I'm fairly anti-D/C, actually. I'm writing a D/C fic with Sam thrown in a threesome situation later b/c a friend asked me to, but it's taking me forever to write b/c of all the problems I see inherent in that pairing. *headdesk*

Oh, and BTW, I am INCREDIBLY spoiler-phobic! I run screaming in the other direction. :P I might give the fic a look anyway, but no promises.

I'm still a season behind on SGA, so I've got that to look forward to and they do promise us at least one DVD movie, so I've still got a little fix left, but SGU is going to have to do A LOT more than it is now to get me to watch it.

I've never minded Rodney, but he definitely grew on me. Before I'd watched it, I shipped John/Carson, but once I started getting into it on screen, the McShep definitely shone out. But there's just something about SGA... I don't know if it's all down to John alone, or due to the fact that there's such a large (relatively) collection of pretty guys.

I'm normally an OTP kinda girl. I do quite enjoy threesomes, but they always have to include my OTP, but SGA, as long as one of them is John, I'm happy :).

As for Supernatural, I have to admit I've not read much fic until Cas came along. I fear I'm taking my life in my hands, but I've always been a bit ambivalent towards Sam, so the Wincest fics never really appealed ::hides::. Now Cas is on the scene though... I can't drag myself away from the fic. I've even found myself sneaking the odd peak at Jensen/Misha and I generally don't read RPS!

That fic I recced is D/C and McShep, but it's not excessively shippy. They spend a lot of time angsting, which seems par for the course with these guys, and it is plot driven. I'm trying to think now whether it's got anything spoilery in it. Cas is there, so it's up to S4 of SPN, but you're already up to date there. As for SGA, it's got a character who doesn't appear until season two and the bad guiys are the big SGA bad guys, so I'd be surprised if you didn't already now about them. I think it's nominally set in season five, but I don't remember it specifically referencing any eps, but perhaps it's best to wait until you're a little more up to date.

I really don't have any opinions about SGU right now. I'm just hoping it'll be good. I don't even know when it's supposed to start. *headdesk*

Well, I've been reading and writing SPN fic for a while now, and it's all been wincest. A lot of people I know like DEan/Cas, but more like wincest, and I think it depends on a lot of factors. For me, wincest is THE OTP for SPN, but Cas is hot, I'll give you that. I've never been a huge Sam fan either, but his relationship with Dean is just too awesome for me to ignore. As for RPS, I've got several RPS ships, but of course my SPN RPS OTP is J2.

I'll wait to check it out until I'm up-to-date in SGA, b/c I am indeed spoiler-phobic. Um, you seem very pro this fic tho, so I'll have to check it out. XD

Ohh! BB, you HAVE to watch SGA. I'm not a huge first season fan, but oh my god the McShep. I love McShep. It's just the most amusing thing on Earth. The quips are just love.

I really love good canon gay, and good subtextual gay too. Everyone's talked up McShep, so I'm hoping I'll find it's as good as everyone says it is. I might post up something later regarding my fav shows and what makes them so good, b/c I'm looking for more recs. :P
