Sometimes, Fic Consumes My Life

The deadline for startrekbigbang is Septemeber 15th. Which means I have about three weeks to finish the Apogee prequel, which seems to be impossible b/c it is a VICIOUS SOUL-DEVOURING MONSTER OF DOOM AND DESPAIR WOE BE TO ALL WHO ENCOUNTER IT AND ALSO HORROR. So that's not good.

My birthday is coming up soon. September 10th. I'm saying this b/c that means I'm busier than normal now, since I'm a twin and all and I've got to write a fic for siriuslyyellow since it's her birthday too. Drat it all. But you want to know what a great birthday present for us is? THE FIFTH SEASON PREMIERE EPISODE OF SUPERNATURAL BITCHES YEAH!! ♥

So I'm still going to try and update Apogee weekly. But NO PROMISES.

I've also been catching up on TV shows, and of course fic, art, and vids. It's so great to be in fandom, isn't it? We have such amazing people doing incredible things for us. \o/

Oh, and I'm almost finished replying to all of the comments I've forgotten about. Then I'll just have 10a's comments to reply to. Yay! :D

Big Bangs sound great... until you sign up for them and realise what a fool you've been!

I signed up for the NCIS BB back at the beginning of July, which gave me three whole months to write a minimum of 20,000 words. How many words had I written by the start of August? Zip, zero, nadda, zilch. Not a single one. Why? Because the plot bunny escaped and took all its friends along :(.

I now have 6,000+ words \o/. But that leaves me 14,000 to go, in just over a month, and with one week of that on holiday without a computer (though I can jot it all in note form on my mobile phone and transfer it when I get home, so all is not lost. But that is only assuming the fic doesn't end up longer than 20k (my entry last year was 66k+). ::weeps::

Why do we do these things to ourselves?

Also? Supernatural season five!!!! ::envies you:: I want that, too. Luckily, we don't seem to be too far behind the States with SPN broadcasts, though I just know I'm going to spoil myself by reading all the episode reviews in my SFX magazine. I have no will power and can't simply turn that page without looking. Oh well.

Oh, man. That sounds horrible. And I think I know exactly what you mean. *headdesk* But I have faith that you'll make it! We can cheer each other onwards, see?! *waves flags and pom-poms* Besides, right now you've got WAY MORE than I do. I've onyl got, like, one and a half pages written. EPIC FAIL, SELF, SRSLY.

B/c we're all masochistic? IDEK, that's the only reason I can think of.

LOL, I hate spoilers and will kill to avoid them. But where do you live, if you don't mind me asking? B/c I know different countries have different schedules with TV shows, but I always think that's got to suck for people who get shows WAY LATER. Really now.

::waves inspirational placards saying such things as 'Kowai Youkai is great':: I was going to be lazy and just write 'KY is great', but that brought a whole different image to mind! XD

I'm in the UK. We don't do too badly for Supernatural over here. You get it first, then it gets shown on Sky (I think) over here fairly quickly, maybe a week or so after. Unfortunately, I can't get Sky, so I have to wait until it arrives on ITV2, which happens once Sky has finished its run. Which is pretty good when compared to some other shows where we're years behind.

I'm pretty used to spoilers. Apart from anything else, with the ammount of fanfic I read, I'd be pretty hard pressed to avoid spoilers :).

LMFAO!! I know, every time someone abbreviates to KY, I just laugh and laugh. It's a great unintentionl secondary meaning to my username, if I do say so myself. :P

Oh, man. I'd hate to wait for even an extra week for SPN! Especially b/c, what with the internet, everyone talks about everything right as soon a it's aired for the first time. But I guess you could always dl the new eps? http://tvfreeload.com/ (http://tvfreeload.com/) tends to have the eps up a few hours after they've aired. I use it for all my dl-ing needs, since I don't have tv at my house either. D:

It is very sad that you've become used to spoilers. I refuse to accept spoilers as a part of ym life. *is stubborn*
