kowaiyoukai: (Star Trek Kirk/Spock)
Title: We Reach Our Apogee Slowly (Part 10b)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] kowaiyoukai
Rating: R
Pairing: eventual like whoa Kirk/Spock (STFU), Spock/Uhura (blame JJ, not me)
Warning(s): Angst, meta, language, attempts at witty banter, overly-important tone, intentionally confusing parts, potentially OOC everybody
Spoilers: Star Trek XI (2009) (a.k.a. Star Trek XI, Star Trek 2009, Star Trek Reboot, New Trek, and can we please just pick one name for this fandom people?!)
Word Count: 10,015/?
Disclaimer: Star Trek belongs to Gene Roddenberry, mostly, but also a lot of other people/groups like Paramount, J.J. Abrams, and the various writers/directors. I'm not one of those people, sadly, because if I was I'd be filthy rich.
Beta Acknowledgment: None! I know there are errors, so please let me know if you see any! Thanks!
Summary: Jim quickly realized he was going to have to break the rules if he wanted to survive on the Enterprise.
A/N: I HOPE THE FANGIRLISH PARTS MAKE UP FOR THE WAIT. Mission chapters suck. This was an accident--and I mean that. This wasn't supposed to go down this way at all. Clearly arguing with myself only causes hassle for us all. Also, the next part is only partly written. Sorry. I blame many people for how long this took me to get out, but mostly the following: [livejournal.com profile] mariole for her reminder that shuttlecrafts existed and could be used to rescue them (which made me have to brainstorm with [livejournal.com profile] siriuslyyellow interesting ways of taking the shuttlecrafts out of the picture), [livejournal.com profile] rdallyn for getting me to promise her K/S cuddling for warmth (yeah, I knew I was going to put it in anyway, but then I just had to make it REALLY good and not horribly stereotypical), and the LJ user WHOSE SCREENNAME I'VE FORGOTTEN (so please remind me if it's you) for her awesome comments on my original novel (which caused me to work/think about that for a while--especially the autistic!K thing--WHAT'S YOUR SCREENNAME I FORGOT IT FROM FAIL), and the creative teams doing SPN, SGA, and Farscape (which fueled my non-ST fandom interests--NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!) EDIT: I just realized this part was over 10,000 words long. WHY DO I DO THESE THINGS TO MYSELF?! *headdesk*

We Reach Our Apogee Slowly (Part 10b) )

I AM CURRENTLY IN A STATE OF EPIC CAPSLOCK OVER THE FOLLOWING:

SUPERNATURAL
STAR TREK XI
STARGATE ATLANTIS
X-MEN AND RELATED SPIN-OFFS
HARRY POTTER
DISNEY
TORCHWOOD
MERLIN

NO SPOILERS I AM NOT UP TO DATE IN HALF OF THOSE!!1!

WHAT SHALL I DO, FLSIT? WHAT SHALL I DO?!?!

I FEAR ONLY EPIC FIC WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM. BAH TO LACK OF HOME INTERNETZ AND THUS HAVING TO WRITE ALL THE FIC I WANT MYSELF. WHY CAN'T OTHER PEOPLE JUST SEND THEIR FIC TELEPATHICALLY INTO MY BRAIN?! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!?!

In other news: I need some fun-sounding tags. My system fails at making me LULZ, like other people's tags do! Where is my John Shepard destroys galaxies tag, or my kripke steals candy from babies, or my subtext not so subtle, or my supernatural ate my soul? I WANT THESE THINGS. I shall think long and hard for original amusing tags. NEXT TIME I COME ONLINE I WILL HAVE SOMETHING FOR SURE! It's my OCD, it's hard to do things non-organized and not bash my head against a wall as I walk by it! WHY?!?!

P.S.: Plz to be reccing me good McShep fic nao? I'm mid-s2, but that'll change the more I watch!
kowaiyoukai: (SGA McShep flying hearts)
I am on my way home to write more Apogee, try not to get any spoilers for anything, fangirl tremendously, and think up good tags. They can't be the OBVIOUS things. I need to be CREATIVE. At least one tag for each fandom I'm currently in. *ponders*

LOOK AT MY SHINY NEW ICONS!! I changed them around a bit. AREN'T THEY SHINY AND NEW?!?!
