Bones is a great friend. Would that we all have someone in our lives like that.
I do feel a little sad for Uhura that Spock is just going through the motions, logically, to see if their relationship would work. One would think it would dawn on him sooner (even though he gave his word) that this is futile. And, we all know, resistance is futile.
