I do think Jim is incredibly insecure, and showing more of that is awesome to do. Of course Spock can't see that b/c he just knows how great Jim is, and Jim doesn't really act like he's got self-esteem issues, so overall it makes me uber-happy this way. :D

LMAO, YES, I loved Jim getting all defensive over Spock! Well, but that was obviously how it was going to go down, though. :P And you know, I was sitting there like "how does this chapter end?" and then it just hit me that I could include the EPIC NOD from the movie and I was like OMG DONE!! XD
