Thanks a lot for commenting! ♥ LOL, I consider it my epic duty to deliver awesome. And wow, I'm glad you like this chapter the best out of all of them so far! But I secretly think it's b/c you're a die-hard McCoy fan. XD
I think the people who talk the most and are the loudest and try to get the most attention are the ones who really don't believe in themselves. So it makes sense to me that Jim doesn't have a great opinion of himself and is trying to combat that by getting other people to like him. And of course Spock does't agre, and this will be awesome when it becomes more apparent. *nodes fervently*
Bones is incredibly sneaky, but I also think he's wondering about a lot of stuff. He's known Jim for a long time, so he's got to be a bit confused about exactly what the problem is, even though he's got some ideas. I'm actually in the process of re-writing a scene in 9 to account for all the Bones knowledge, LOL! I honestly forgot he has psych training, but now that you said it, everything makes sudden sense to me! LOL, my mind, WTF SELF.
Wilshaw... *kicks him* Spock was able to handle it and that's what was important, but equally important was Jim's OMGSTFUASSHOLE response to the situation. And yeah, I think people are going to be a bit surprised at Jim's bad-ass side.
I do think that Starfleet had to lower their standards a bit just to fill required positions. I mean, I think the loss of one or two crew members is fine, but once it gets to be more than that it becomes a problem for everyone. So that'll be interesting.
LMFAO, YES SPOCK LOOKS FOREBODING!! And I think he does it with grace and charm. XD
9 is coming hopefully soon, and you'll get a kick out it, you Bones-lover you. <3
