Instead of disliking Uhura, I somehow came out of this chapter wanting her to finally get it because not liking Kirk is bothersome to me. He's just... wonderful in any incarnation, how can you not see it? It was also quite telling how many times she repeated "we're dating" in that last conversation because well, she's trying to convince both of them, isn't she? I hope she doesn't get hurt too badly in the end. (And that she sees the awesome that is Kirk because really? He's a HELL of a guy.)
