Umm...let's see. Honesty, I'm a big fan of "Lovers and Madmen" but many fans didn't like it so I'd recommend it with that in mind, haha. It has a very distinctive, somewhat sloppy-ish, style of art that apparently isn't too favored, but I enjoyed it and it fit the story well to me. It is another Joker origin though, so I thought I'd state that, and many people seem put off by it. I still really liked it though.
A really funny, very Joker, but somewhat short story (with some Robin) is called "Slayride" I believe, by Paul Dini. It's included in the new "The Joker : The Greatest Stories Ever Told" compilation that was released recently. "Case Study" is in there too, and it's a very good, wonderfully drawn and eloquently written creation. I think that one is by Paul Dini was well, drawn by Alex Ross. Paul Dini does great work on the most part, especially with his Joker stories, in my humble opinion.
Personally, I'd advise getting the book since those two stories are included as well as a few others. It also has some Joker from the past, like his first story ever, and even though they aren't exactly the Mr. J I love now, it was fun to watch how he changed and morphed to fit each time period, so maybe you'd enjoy that too.
Oh! I doubt you'll be able to find it under $100 (which makes me cry cause I can't get it myself) but "Devil's Advocate" is a GREAT Joker story. The art is phenomenal, honestly, and shows some personnal extremes of the Batman along with a wonderfully written Joker (trying not to give away the plot?). I have a file of it on my computer, and if you can't find it (like me :( ) I'd be willing to send it to you somehow if you wanted.
Besides those...nothing really exceptional comes to mind. I have a few other titles that I remember just for how...well, not really good, they were, but I won't mention them. :)
Good luck finding more Joker comics that suit your vision of the character. I'm off to do some of that now myself. :)
