Kyo's bracelet?

siriuslyyellow and I were discussing this conundrum, and maybe any of you who have watched/read Fruits Basket can help us out.



So, Kyo's bracelet is red and white from the blood and bones used to make it, in some sort of dark ritual, I guess. And in the one episode/chapter, when Shishou takes it off of him, he transforms into the monster.

So, here's what we know:

1- Human!Kyo transforms into Kitty!Kyo when hugged by a member of the opposite sex.

2- Kitty!Kyo transforms back into Human!Kyo after a random amount of time has passed.

3- Human!Kyo hates the rain. He mentions this several times, and states that he feels tired and basically crappy whenever it rains.

4- Human!Kyo only transformed into Monster!Kyo when his bracelet was taken off and it was raining.

5- Monster!Kyo transformed back into Human!Kyo without the bracelet being put back on and almost immediately when it stopped raining.

So. Here's the question. How does Monster!Kyo change back into Human!Kyo? If the bracelet was taken off of him when it wasn't raining, would he transform? Or does he just transform back into Human!Kyo after a random amount of time and it just happened to be when the rain stopped, for dramatic purposes?

The only other two things I can think of about Kyo's monster form are the following: his mother was constantly checking his wrist to see if the bracelet was on (if he only transformed when it rained, why would she do that? but she was crazy and a bitch, so...), and Akito took Kyo's bracelet off when they were both young kids, but it's a flashback scene and I'm not sure of the other details involved there.

So... thoughts?
