Just a quick note here since I feel like I should say something. I've put in my author's notes several times that I don't have access to the internet. I can't google anything. I don't have encyclopedias at my house. In short, everything I write is unchecked for factual accuracy (scientifically speaking), as well as un-beta'd (since I can't e-mail it to anybody to check), and mostly concocted from the fangirlish depths of my brain.
I'm sorry that you were taken out of the fic enough to really have a problem with this, but honestly? It's just fanfiction. It's not my original work, so really, being 100% scientifically accurate is irrelevant to me, especially considering how much longer doing so would take. Consider this: I can get online currently about once a month. If I'm in the middle of a section and don't know what would really happen, I make it up and continue writing. Now, if I were to stop writing and wait to google stuff for accuracy, we're looking at a whole lot longer for each part. Just saying.
I will say this much. Your concrit, while I'm sure you meant it intentionally, was actually more of a hindrance than a help to me. I was considering re-writing what I'd put up for about two months, and started making notes for an alternate version of the chapter, before I realized that would be CRAZY AND INSANE. Saying that you googled the info is great for you, but for those of us without internet it's really hard to do so.
Still, I'm so completely thrilled that you care enough about the fic to look up the correct info and correct me on it. I'm assuming you didn't know about my internet-less state, and thus I've got no ill will or anger or anything about the situation. I just wanted to get my side out here b/c it looks like a fight broke out in my prolonged absence, and I really dislike fandom in-fighting, especially over fics. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG. :P
