Random Post of the Day!

LOOK AT THIS CRAZY SHIT I FOUND PEOPLE! I seriously cannot believe that people get this worked up over Twilight. I'm sorry, but the series really does suck ass. Meyer's not even a good author. She's average. Her characterization leaves a lot to be desired.

BUT STILL. Tell your friends--dissing Twilight IRL may be bad for your health. SRSLY.

Also, I gave [livejournal.com profile] siriuslyyellow an idea for her epic J2 role-play, and it's funny and awful all at the same time. *evil laughter*

I had something else to say but I forgot it in between now and when I started writing this post an hour ago. *headdesk* My computer's freaking out, though, so I'm checking out to see if Best Buy can fix it. D:

EDIT: I REMEMBER NOW! I changed my header to be more epic. WHAY SAY YOU, FLIST? \o/

INORITE?! I was severely disturbed by this. And it keeps getting worse the more I read it. I have to stop before I lose all faith in humanity. D:

Lol, I hate Twilight, but I don't get worked up over it. I just avoid anything to do with it if possible, lol.

Oh, and holy shit... I read some of those links--Twilight fans are crazy! Attacking people and hurting them because they don't like that load of crap... holy fuck. D:

[identity profile] kowaiyoukai.livejournal.com 2009-06-27 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they really are. I can't believe people are getting attacked b/c they're saying they don't like Twilight. INSANITY. WTF, Twlight fandom?! SRSLY.

I'm totally not surprised to find this about Twilight fans at all. They are one scary group of fans. I staff at Comic con and I remember very clearly how scary the Twilight fans can be. There was a drawing last year where fans could do to get autographs from the movie cast (I can't remember if Meyer gave out autographs) and the people were just CRAZY!! It was like pure screaming chaos and they kept pushing and shoving others out of their way. Any semblance of line control is kinda not possible when you're trying to tell them to get into a straight line and they just stare you down and refuse to do anything you say. I have to say, that was before I even really heard about Twilight, but after that incident, I have been so thoroughly freaked out of my mind that I won't even go near anything that has to do with Twilight. I had to beg not to do line control again this year after I found out Twilight was gonna be there again this year with movie 2. But you do gotta admire their extreme devotion to their fandom (even though I doubt that many people would resort to violent means to fend off the people who don't agree with their opinions about sparkly vampires, horrible plot, and bad acting.)

I also have a crazy story about Twilight fans, since we are sharing. I went to an opening day show of Twilight--I go to all opening day fandom movies if I can. And I got there four hours early, which is normal for me, too. The movie people know us and everything, LOL. So, whatever, I'm with [livejournal.com profile] siriuslyyellow and an RL friend, and this group of girls behind us start freaking the fuck out over how much they love Edward. This girl who passes by with another friend is wearing a Team Jacob shirt, and they actually curse her out for it! I was like, dude, it's her fandom, too, morons.

And then, when we got in the theatre we got front row seats in the middle, and this girl asked us to move so she and her friends could sit there. I told her no, BECAUSE DUH OBVIOUSLY, and then she said "You don't have to be a BITCH about it." I was like "um excuse me?" But she'd already left. I was shocked.

Twilight fans suck. D:

On the one hand, Twilight sucks, and I hate how popular it is. But I can't be mad at Meyers when she actually, you know, finished a book. Sure it may be easy to do if you don't mind your book sucking, but still. She got through it, so I have to give her credit in that department.

However, I hate these "I didn't even want to be a writer!!!1111" sorts. It's so frustrating when some of us out here want it more than anything. Argh.

As for your header, I liked your old one a lot. This one is cool, too, though. ^^

[identity profile] yaoi-slut.livejournal.com 2009-06-24 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Wait, I just read the thing you linked. WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously? I don't even know anyone who likes that series! How could people get that worked up over it? This just goes to show where media issues are taking us as a society. People are losing their damn minds.

[identity profile] kowaiyoukai.livejournal.com 2009-06-27 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks for the header compliment! I think I'll have to find a happy medium at some point, though. LOL

And yeah, Meyer kind of sucks at being an author in every way. But good for her, anyway. If only we'd all be that lucky. *sigh*

And YES, Twilight fans who attack people are FUCKING NUTSO. People are taking it way too seriously. SRSLY. D:

[identity profile] sezso.livejournal.com 2009-06-27 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Ya know, I read the series and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But honestly? It's not good enough to be loved, but it's not really bad enough to be hated. It just kinda is. It was enjoyable in its own way. I found it to be harmless, simple, and easy, a relief, in between reading Robinson Crusoe (OMG SO MUCH HATE) and King Lear for uni. It's like... an Almond Joy candy bar. No real nutritional value, but sometimes, you feel like a nut. xD

But MAN. The fanbrats? DID NOT READ THE SAME BOOKS I READ. HOLY CRAP. O.O

[identity profile] kowaiyoukai.livejournal.com 2009-06-27 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I read the whole series, and I enjoyed parts of it. I LOVE Jasper. He's great. But Edward just wasn't that fangirlable to me. IDK. Overall, though, the good parts in the book did not happen enough and weren't good enough to merit the kind of attention Twilight's ben getting, IMHO. YOUR LAST SENTENCE IN THAT FIRST PARAGRAPH IS EPIC WIN!! \o/

Yeah, the twitards suck. And did you notice almost all of them think Edward is in a serious, committed relationship with them? 0.o;;

[identity profile] sezso.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Jasper is the best thing ever. Actually, the thing I hated most about the whole series? JAZZ. WTF WAS UP WITH CALLING HIM JAZZ IN BREAKING DAWN? omg, can not EVER let that go. *HULK SMASH*

Edward isn't fangirlable, that's totally true. I just never really saw him as bad for Bella. Bad for everyone else ever? Sure. But him and Bella are just as screwed up as each other.

THANK YOU. *BOWS* I PERSONALLY THINK YOUR ICON IS EPIC WIN. I WOULD LIKE TO HAZ IT. CAN I HAZ IT?

I think you just hit upon the reason the twitards suck. Because they really do think that. That is... very disturbing.

P.S. Did you see the movie? It's better than the book. Like x10 at least. And the previews for movie 2 look good too.

[identity profile] kowaiyoukai.livejournal.com 2009-07-02 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I really did not get the Jazz thing either. I was like, um huh? Jasper would not be down with people calling him Jazz. For srsly. It was like Meyer was TRYING to piss the Jasper fangirls off. IDEK. *headdesk* I mean, I get the idea of wanting to call Jasper by a nickname, but to his face? Dude, he'd end you. XD

I see Bella as the uber Mary Sue. She doesn't have a personality at all, which makes it hard for me to imagine her with anyone. Edward is actually more disturbing than anything else.

YOU CAN HAZ TEH ICON. AND TO BE CREDITING [livejournal.com profile] mediocrechick WHO MADE TEH PRETTEH FUNNEH!!1!

You know, I mean, it's a different story when we're talking about, like, Sasuke and me or Dean and me or Spock and me or Jim and me beause I mean, HELLO OBVIOUSLY I AM DATING ALL OF MY FICTIONAL LOVES. But dating Edward? PUH-LEEZE. He's a weirdo. :P

P.S. YES! And I laughed my ass off for the entire thing. It was one of the best comedies I've seen in years. OMG, but my character opinions wree the opposite of what they are in the book! Like, my fav book character is Jasper and I hate Bella's dad and the kids at school, but in the movie I loved Bella's dad and the kids at school and I wasn't too into Jasper. The actor did it okay, but IDK, it could have been better. *shrugs*
