Random Post of the Day!

LOOK AT THIS CRAZY SHIT I FOUND PEOPLE! I seriously cannot believe that people get this worked up over Twilight. I'm sorry, but the series really does suck ass. Meyer's not even a good author. She's average. Her characterization leaves a lot to be desired.

BUT STILL. Tell your friends--dissing Twilight IRL may be bad for your health. SRSLY.

Also, I gave [livejournal.com profile] siriuslyyellow an idea for her epic J2 role-play, and it's funny and awful all at the same time. *evil laughter*

I had something else to say but I forgot it in between now and when I started writing this post an hour ago. *headdesk* My computer's freaking out, though, so I'm checking out to see if Best Buy can fix it. D:

EDIT: I REMEMBER NOW! I changed my header to be more epic. WHAY SAY YOU, FLIST? \o/

I'm totally not surprised to find this about Twilight fans at all. They are one scary group of fans. I staff at Comic con and I remember very clearly how scary the Twilight fans can be. There was a drawing last year where fans could do to get autographs from the movie cast (I can't remember if Meyer gave out autographs) and the people were just CRAZY!! It was like pure screaming chaos and they kept pushing and shoving others out of their way. Any semblance of line control is kinda not possible when you're trying to tell them to get into a straight line and they just stare you down and refuse to do anything you say. I have to say, that was before I even really heard about Twilight, but after that incident, I have been so thoroughly freaked out of my mind that I won't even go near anything that has to do with Twilight. I had to beg not to do line control again this year after I found out Twilight was gonna be there again this year with movie 2. But you do gotta admire their extreme devotion to their fandom (even though I doubt that many people would resort to violent means to fend off the people who don't agree with their opinions about sparkly vampires, horrible plot, and bad acting.)

I also have a crazy story about Twilight fans, since we are sharing. I went to an opening day show of Twilight--I go to all opening day fandom movies if I can. And I got there four hours early, which is normal for me, too. The movie people know us and everything, LOL. So, whatever, I'm with [livejournal.com profile] siriuslyyellow and an RL friend, and this group of girls behind us start freaking the fuck out over how much they love Edward. This girl who passes by with another friend is wearing a Team Jacob shirt, and they actually curse her out for it! I was like, dude, it's her fandom, too, morons.

And then, when we got in the theatre we got front row seats in the middle, and this girl asked us to move so she and her friends could sit there. I told her no, BECAUSE DUH OBVIOUSLY, and then she said "You don't have to be a BITCH about it." I was like "um excuse me?" But she'd already left. I was shocked.

Twilight fans suck. D:
