Thanks for the compliments! :D

I commented similarly to the above person, but basically this is the first Joker comic I've read. I know the movies and some of the animated series, but I was never a huge fan of Batman as a kid, and then I got into anime and it was all downhill from there. :P I was more of a Sandman, Preacher, and the like kind of girl. Also, Marvel. Yes.

I'm not a fan of the majority of The Killing Joke. I think it's well-written, but that doesn't necessarily make it good. I think the opening scene is amazing, and the closing scene is awesome, but what's in between... I could take it or leave it. I don't like the version of the Joker's past that's presented. I think it makes no sense given the other information we've got on the Joker. I also don't like how the Joker has all of these circus freak cohorts that appear out of literally nowhere. I mean, if you want to argue that the circus is the asylum the joke's referring to... okay, maybe you could make some kind of over-arching point. But the fact remains, I meta'd the ending because I think it's the most valuable and worthwhile part of the whole book.

Now, what are the other great Joker stories? Please rec away! :D
