O.M.G. I shrieked like a banshee when I saw this on the K/S comm. Shrieked and squeed, and scared all the animals in my house, LOL. Yay for an update! ♥ (I might have even done a little dance, I don't know!)

Anyway: There is so much epicness in this chapter. And I laughed so damn hard. I mean, really, busted a gut. First off, the idea that all the doors on the Enterprise won't open makes me LOL. Because that's pretty damn inconvenient, but also hilarious in a weird way. (I suppose there are shafts and tunnels all over the place, but certainly not to everywhere.) I keep imagining it's like when escalators don't work in shopping malls. We're so freakin' conditioned, aren't we? And poor Bones, trapped in a turbolift... I hope the guy didn't have to pee, or anything. (That's like, one of my worst fears when going into elevators. But I'm neurotic, or something.)

Also: HUDDLING FOR WARMTH FTW. And they are both conscious and not sleeping! How cool. And having Chekov there to appreciate the squee factor ("Chekov, on the other hand, was worried and resigned and miserable but also, oddly, almost happy or excited" - YOU AND ME BOTH, MAN. ♥) was awesome. The fan-girlish nature of this DOES make up for the long wait, and I have a feeling I'll keep re-reading this until the next one (like I did with the last mission).

Jim's "Oh God, I'm dead and hallucinating" was where I pretty much lost it. That, and a neon pink "Spock the Second". I'm giggling just typing it out. You are hilarious, and seriously bring the LOLs. I'm going to have to play that "theoretically possible" game sometime. (Or imagine a scenario in my head where K/S play it during sexy-times. Yep.)

Oh Gods, I don't even know what else to mention. Poor Concerned!Spock. Poor Jim having bad luck on Delta Vega v. 2.0. Poor Uhura also probably worried out of her mind with her boyfriend being stuck on an ice planet not suited for his physiology. Poor Chekov going first and probably feeling guilty about it. And poor Jim again for worrying about Bones - but well, he gets to snuggle with his crush, so maybe it isn't so bad. ;)

And now I look forward to the showdown of epic proportions; where I'm wondering if Spock will pull some sneaky-sneaky maneuver to beam up Jim, or if Jim will stay behind and worry the fuck out of Spock to the point where he realizes, "Okay, maybe my feelings for the Captain aren't exactly normal", or - something really awesome and unexpected between the both of those. I rub my hands eagerly in anticipation. ♥

Thanks for writing and posting and stuff. :)

PS: I'm glad my comments on Demon Hunters helped! This does mean I get to read more - right? Right?
