Okay, I have come to deliver the Epic~!! ....... Sorry it took so long to arrive. It's been crazy. I meant to reply earlier today but got dragged to a star trek meetup. We watched the movie again and ate italian and it was awesome.
On to the Epic:
Jim: I loved your floundering Jim in this chapter. ...and how he's still in self-denial about his sexuality because I don't think it'd be easy to just do a 180 with a snap of the fingers. He's had fear chiseled into him and that's going to have to go away a little by a little.
I also enjoyed all the little humorous moments he had. The 'golf' comparisons were cracking me up something awfulamazing and the little scene with Scotty was abso-fucking-lutely perfect. All of it. I loved how he got his captain on by setting down the rules but was still letting Scotty lead his department.
Scotty: I love how to him Raise = serious painful injury being healed.
"Do you want that raise or not?" Jim asked, not even looking back at him in case McCoy accidentally gave Jim a chance to make a run for it.
"He's a very busy man, Bones," Scotty said, frowning at McCoy. "Leave the poor guy alone."
"Do you want that burn healed or not?" McCoy asked, still staring at Jim challengingly.
Scotty paused. "I think I'm going to sit here and wait this one out."
So awesome I had to repost it down here too! ^_^ Hahaha...Bones is already setting his rep. Speaking of Bones..
Bones: Okay, Bones has officially become my favorite TOS character after having watched The Voyage Home and he was just...::flails:: in this. So spot on that I have no words...well, okay so I have epic words but you get the point. ^_^;;;
I loved the chemistry you gave him and Jim without making it romantic in nature. I know you mentioned being worried about this earlier and don't worry, I think you pulled it off marveously. Bones/Kirk is my current OTP and I wasn't picturing it all reading this. I just saw epic family friendship.
And a lot of fucking humor. :D Because that's how Bones rolls. "Thank God," McCoy said. "I don't think I can take this much gay drama in one sitting."
One more thing.. :P Take that Bones! The Spock-Kirk of Apogee is Epic Eternal Love that cannot be Denied!
.........er, except like the two involved are currently doing. >.<;;; A Minor Setback
Chekov: OMG, adorable. And he's such a perceptive little sneak! ♥ I have to admit that Chekov is my least fav of the Seven (although I still love him to bits!) usually but here? OMG but he's made of amazing. :)
