Pike is just generally made of win, so it's easy to have him and Kirk be awesome at each other. I'm excited for more of that at some point. \o/
The mirror structure, nice word choice BTW, is so difficult to keep going but also very necessary. I'm so glad it's working for you b/c I always headdesk when I've got to re-write it YET AGAIN! D:
PRETTY COLORS MAKE EVERYTHING FINE!! But also I really did love the first fanart and I think the proportions looked great! Besides, you can always say he's in water if anyone bitches at you about it, although it really does look awesome so I can't see why they would. XP

Arkham Asylum is one of the only GNs I have ever actually stopped to look at the drawings on--like, really STOPPED reading and just sat and stared at them. I'm also a fan of CLAMP, very popular manga artists who you most likely already know. LOL, THAT TOTALLY DID WORK. I'm working hard on 9 but I actually thought I'd finished one scene when it turns out I haven't and there's at least another 3,000 words I wasn't expecting thanks to Jim's angst. D: So it will still be some time before that gets up, but I'm hoping within the week!
It's going... somewhere. Even I don't know how everything's going to end, actually! That's probably not too reassuring. :P
