Thanks so much for commenting! :D There's so much prejudice in TOS that it would be really difficult for me to not include it and feel okay about it. People seem to think that TOS is prejudice-free, but that's just not the case and I think XI would mirror that. It's awesome that Kirk is the one who is able to accept Spock without reservations, and it's a part of what makes K/S so great to me.
