This was wonderful and painful and so, so right. I really like Jim's introspection, how he has this sense of not being enough, that, contrasted with Spock's high view of him made for really wonderful contrast.

Aah, I wanted to HUG Kirk in the McCoy and Spock scene, with the Uhura questions... he was so hurt! Gah, the tension there was amazing, amazing.

BUT MY TOTALLY FAVORITE PART WAS OBVIOUSLY JIM GETTING SUPER PISSED AT THE GUY WHO OFFENDED SPOCK. Seriously, it was PERFECTTT!!! And, eee, that final line, with the NOD! Happiness.

I just love this story so much. Can't wait for more :D
