Plus, for some reason Jim couldn't get the image out of his head of Scotty screaming, "I'm giving it all I've got, Captain!" That alone would be worth it.
LAUGHING. MY. ASS. OFF. Ohmygod. That whole first scene was just hilarious, and very true to character. (I was a little worried about the NC-17 "It's not what you think!" rating - I was hoping it wasn't Spock/Uhura, ugh. Thank you.) I like how slowly you're building this, and especially with Jim in total denial about it all. That feels reasonable, to me, although in TOS there are suspicions surrounding Gary Mitchell (but I guess they never meet in the reboot, hmm?) I can see the epiphany coming, and I cannot wait. :D
I also wanted to say that I've been looking forward to part 5 all week, and that this is one of my favorite fanfics, currently. The idea of 24 chapters makes me chair dance (with maracas!), and I hope that you have as much fun writing it, as I do reading it. ♥ (Oh, and about where to post it: kirkspock gets daily traffic, so I'm sure it would be noticed there? But I agree with whoever said had the most members.)
