It bothers me a whole lot when female characters are reduced to love interests. I think that, I mean, yay for romance and all, but overall I'd like to see strong chicks who aren't there as boytoys when push comes to shove. We should get in-depth chicks without having them be love interests, IMHO.

RE: Chekov. If betting starts, and I'm not as sure as you are that it will, but if it does, Chekov will indeed be so rich that he'll quit the service and go buy a small planet for himself. :D
